A Note on Shipping

Today I have a note on shipping and how/where I’m planning to ship in a way that works best for my little venture. My background shop is basically a hobby (a much loved hobby, but a hobby nonetheless). I truly enjoy designing and printing quality backgrounds and creating flat lays, and that is going to continue.

In the past I shipped all over the world and it absolutely worked! As well as shipping to Canada and the United States, I’ve shipped to Australia, New Zealand, France, Israel, Netherlands, Saudia Arabia, and on and on .. it was astonishing! But as time passed, shipping costs sky rocketed to the point it’s just wasn’t feasible to ship all over the world. So I began limiting shipping only to Canada (where I live) and the United States (where I now spend winters). So .. here’s my plan:

• I’ve decided to (sort of) limit shipping to Canada while I’m out of the country. When I head south for the winter, shipping back to Canada becomes more expensive and I have to charge more, there can be duties and fees (ugh), and deliveries take a very long time. If you’re in Canada and place an order after October 17th, I will contact you, explain the situation, and let you decide if you still want to go ahead (and you may still want to .. some people do).
• Shipping to the United States will remain unchanged all year.

I’ll still be writing for my blog and showing up on Instagram. I had to take it slow this past summer/autumn due to my hip surgery, but I’m getting better every day .. unfortunately it’s taking longer than I expected.

Autumn is still in full swing and the beautiful months of November and December are still ahead. And that means getting out a few of my backgrounds and having a play. I’m thinking apples, tea, and twinkle lights. Also, pine cones, wreaths, and paper stars. Oh the joy!

So, to my Canadian friends, if you’re thinking and dreaming about creating flat lays for autumn and Christmas, now is the right time to get that perfect background! Order before October 20th for a speedier delivery with lower shipping costs.
