Have you challenged yourself lately?

At the beginning of April I signed up for a course about setting up emails, creating a Freebie Library, and connecting with my subscribers in the process.

That course challenged me to do things I never thought I could do.

The technical parts were a tough slog for me, and when things weren’t making sense I became frustrated, and at times, even angry!  But I didn’t give up .. every morning I watched videos (on repeat) and kept trying. Now that things are coming together I’m putting what I’ve learned into action. The whole process has been empowering and has instilled a new confidence in myself and my abilities. What might I do next?!

I will never regret the time, effort, and money I put into learning a new skill and I believe my future self will be thanking me for days, weeks, and maybe even years. Perhaps that’s a little dramatic .. but hey, I’m feeling enthusiastic!

I have lots of ideas and dreams spinning around in my head and I’m now feeling empowered and confident that I can take on the next challenge. I can’t wait to start!

How to challenge yourself

Set a goal and invest in yourself and your future.

Are you doing the same familiar things over and over? Doing all the familiar things is great .. it’s fun, it’s effortless, and things run seamlessly. But are you growing?

Ask yourself, what is the one thing I could commit to on a regular basis? What is inspiring me at this time? Then set a goal .. maybe a small goal at first, but setting one small goal can lead to bigger and more challenging goals in the future and you never know where that will lead you.

I recently read that in order to accomplish a goal, we need to have an in-depth plan. It doesn’t have to be complicated, a step-by-step plan is simply a blueprint.

Use notebooks, calendars, and planners

When I don’t set a goal (and write it down), an idea can sit quietly in my brain for days before I act on it, and because I don’t have a clear picture of what I want to accomplish, nothing happens .. and then I may even forget about it!

That’s where my free downloadable perpetual calendar/planner can help .. especially the goal-setting sheet (last page). Print multiple sheets to have around when an idea hits!
