Hello Beautiful September

Hello beautiful September .. nostalgic .. melancholy .. hopeful. The month of new beginnings.

There’s something about September wouldn’t you agree? We’re experiencing very hot, dry weather (30C today) but our nighttime lows are hitting 10C and we’re looking at a 6C next week! But I love it! It’s time to put up twinkly lights as the nights are getting darker so much sooner. With the sun setting at 8:20, we have just over 13 hours of daylight now.

It’s time for the making of jams, jellies, salsas, and pickles. Farmers markets are bursting at the seams and our local Somerset Pumpkin Farm is opening up for business. I’m heading over on Sunday to pick pumpkins and squash. It’s become a tradition for the me and the hubs .. I admittedly bring home far too many but family and friends never complain : )

.. dahlias .. zinnias .. apples and crabapples ..

.. late summer wreath flat lay on “Jo’s Baking Sheet” (a now retired background). What do you think? I’m tempted to bring it back .. out of retirement and into the Shop.

As always, thank you for being here xo
